Apple Market Cap Bigger Than Microsoft? Not Quite Yet, It Isn’t

Apple (AAPL) certainly is having a stunning week, thanks to a strong March quarter earnings report, and the stock is inching closer to Microsoft (MSFT); if it extends the current run, could soon surpass the Redmond giant in market cap. But contrary to some reports, it isn’t there yet.

• Microsoft, taking into account a modest after-hours sell off, now has a market cap of $265.6 billion.
• Apple, at today’s close had a market cap of $241.6 billion.
